Had the opportunity to work on more character concepts for an upcoming Indie game made by Jamin Games Studio.
"Skelemental: Monk's Fury"
Cordycep Soldier
The Cordyceps are former soldiers consumed by the corruption of the Strangled Forest.
They shift between long-range attacks with a crossbow and aggressive melee strikes with a sword.
The main challenge while designing this character was making it convey corruption & time while maintaining a clear silhouette and areas of visual rest with all the vines in his body. Early designs didn't give the message I wanted to show, so I pushed the horror further, torn skin, bulging veins, and thick vines coming out from inside the body. Really proud of working on this piece. I keep learning and improving a lot while working with the team.
